The Power of Belief in Health and Healing

Thoughts are things

Thoughts are things! And they are very powerful. Choose your thoughts wisely because they will determine how you feel, your health, your energy level, your physiological state and much more.

In fact, there’s an entire field in medicine called neuroimmunology – a combination of neuroscience and immunology. Many studies in this field have shown that the thoughts you think, the words you say, and your emotions DRAMATICALLY effect your immune system and your health. Thinking negative thoughts, being hopeless, thinking depressing thoughts, having negative emotions like sadness and anger all decrease your immune function and can make you sicker.

You can heal yourself of anything - if you believe you can!

In contrast, positive thoughts, constructive thoughts, positive emotions like joy, happiness and relaxation all dramatically improve your health. There’s a great book on this subject for those of you who want to learn more¬†about¬†how your health is connected to your emotions and thoughts – it’s called, “The Relaxation Response” and I highly recommend it.

I read a poem recently that I think so profoundly explains this connection between your thoughts and your reality – the life you live. If you want a better life, you’re going to have to think some better thoughts!

If you like to win, but you think you can’t,

    Very good blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally confused .. Any ideas? Thanks! Now I want to ask you something else. I ‘ve heard that the Mediterranean Diet is a very good way to help stave off cancer. is that true? Also have you thought about the “telic 22 diet”? (do a search on google to learn about it) Ive heard some great things about it and my father lost lots of weight with it.

    Everyone has to make up their own decisions about who to trust. Do as much research as you can and try to focus on the clinical research, not just claims.
